Rescheduling
Below are guidelines for Coaches and Team Administrators to follow when rescheduling league games.
All home game reschedules must be submitted to Kevin Scherer, our Referee/Field Coordinator, via email at kjscherer@aol.com.
To reschedule a game, do the following:
- Contact your opponent via email (save all email correspondence) to let them know that you have a conflict and ask them for their availability to reschedule.
- Contact information for CUSL teams is located on the Standings page of the CUSL website.
- You should come up with a couple options on dates/times for the game. Work with your opponent to agree on possible dates/times.
- If you are the home team, you must contact Kevin to reschedule your game. Kevin will find a field for the game and will assign referees to the game.
- We have provided an online form to use to email Kevin your request to reschedule. Click here to access the online rescheduling form. The following information must be included with your request:
- Home Team Number, Age Group, CUSL division (coach or team name are ok as additional information). (eg. G9708 U14 SECOND)
- Visiting Team Number or team name. (eg. G9715 or Cincinnati West Firehawks)
- Original game information (game number, date, time, field). (eg. 1045 Sun Apr 11 @ 4:30 pm 96-11)
- Requested game information (date and time – multiple ones if possible). (eg. Tuesday April 13th after 6:15 prefer MWW)
- Kevin will contact you with the rescheduled date/time.
- Contact your opponent to provide the reschedule information.
- If you are a CUSL team, you should log into the Team Admin area of the CUSL website and click on “Record a Game Score” to enter the reschedule date for your home game.
NOTES:
- Provide at least 5 days advance notice to Kevin for all reschedules or new game requests. The more time you can provide the better for everyone involved.
- Games cancelled by the coach or opponent within 3 days of the playing date could result in the home team being charged referee fees. The team will be responsible for any fees charged to the club related to game cancellations or no shows.
- Be sure to follow league rules regarding the rescheduling and cancellation of games and notification required.
- Coaches cannot cancel games due to weather conditions. They must play unless the park or location is closed.
- Do not play a game (U10 thru U19) without 3 referees (it is ok to have a licensed center and 2 club linemen).
- Do not play a U8 or U9 game with an un-licensed center referee.
- Remember that the home team is REQUIRED to ensure corner flags are available for their league games.
- Corner flags will be provided at the Harrison Complex. However, if your team plays at Miami Whitewater, you must supply the flags.
- Miami Whitewater will have numerous tournaments as well as adult league games being played at their facility which could cause a home game to need to be moved or rescheduled.
- Home games scheduled during one of our hosted tournaments will have to be rescheduled due to field availability.
- For the fall season, there are limited times and fields available due to:
- Darkness will make it difficult to get games in during the week
- A high number of referees officiate or play in High School games
- Friday nights and Saturdays (games starting at or before 1:00 pm) work the best for reschedules. Please do what you can to schedule games on these days.
